Tracking aircraft with Ra-Pi ADS-B decoder

With the Raspberry Pi computer and a cheap software defined radio dongle you can track aircraft and feed to a major aircraft tracking site. Having a passion for aviation this was a fun project to complete.  The screenshot below was achieved with a stock antenna. The software is also available for Windows.  If your lucky you may grab a celebrity jet like the second image below.

Raspberry Pi Feed

Scanner with Raspberry Pi
The photo is of the scanner and single board computer (Raspberry Pi) that is
used to feed audio to Radio Reference. The scanner feeds audio through a USB sound card that is connected to the Pi.  This means no more dedicated computer to worry about. The Pi is a 700mhz, 512 ram computer that is able to run 4 versions of Linux. The Pi has GPIO pins that can be used for projects that range from robotics to media servers. I have a lot more to explore and will post my future projects.
