Deputy takes gun fire during pursuit

A Jasper County Deputy was fired upon from a vehicle during a pursuit Friday night. According to news reports the suspect is possibly Dennis Goode, who is a suspect in a home invasion in Ottawa County and suspected of burglaries in Newton County. The suspect vehicle is a red Ford Pickup. Should be considered armed and dangerous.

Update * Suspect apprehended in Branson early this morning.

Feed will be all Fire and Medical

The Jasper county feed is transitioning to all Fire and Medical. This will eliminate the use of the feed for malicious reasons but still serve as an excellent source for severe weather information during storm season.

The scanner is scanning Jasper County Emergency Services paging frequency and Cherokee County paging and tone out frequencies.
